CRANTOCK CHURCH in NEWQUAY
St Carantoc's Church
There has been a church in the village since the twelfth century or earlier and the present building had restoration work done on it 222 years ago when a fire caused serious damage. There is an ancient stone coffin in the churchyard and if you wander around the back you can see the old village stocks.
